Our business turns fresh milk into the products you use daily—ghee, milk powders, coffee and tea creamers, cake mixes and nutrition supplements. We have been doing this since 1982 and are one of India’s largest dairy and food ingredient manufacturers.
Our milestones
In 1982, Mr. Amar Nath Goyal and Mr. Sanjeev Goyal established Mahaan with a mission to provide safe, tasty and high quality dairy products for the Indian consumer.
Mahaan set up its capacity to process 1,25,000 kilograms fresh milk daily to manufacture an entirely retail portfolio of pure ghee, milk powders and dairy creamers.
Ace International, the export arm of Mahaan, became the largest exporter of dairy products in India with exports to North America, Africa, Europe, Asia, LATAM and Oceania.
A green-field facility in Kosi Kalan (UP, India) was set up under the name Mahaan Proteins and Mahaan Foods Ltd. was listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange to trade.
Expansion of plant capacity to process 3,00,000 kilograms of fresh milk daily to satisfy demand for Mahaan’s consumer products, especially ghee and dairy whitener.
Pioneered the manufacturing of whey proteins, calcium caseinate, milk calcium and more in India through microfiltration, ion exchange and membrane filtration technologies.
Mahaan Foods Ltd. facility converted to third-party manufacturing for nutraceutical and pharmaceutical companies as Mahaan Lifesciences (now known as Zeon Lifesciences).
Under our distribution entity, Ace International LLP, we forged key strategic partnerships with manufacturers globally for dairy and food ingredient distribution in India.
Ace International LLP becomes an exclusive channel partner for India for two of the world’s largest dairy cooperatives - Arla Foods from Denmark and Agropur from US-Canada.
Family business enters third generation with Mr. Aditya Goyal joining the dairy operations. Mahaan establishes a new green-field project in Hathras as Mahaan Milk Foods Ltd.
Capacity enhancement at Mahaan through ultra-high hygiene engineered dry mixing line of Gericke. Additional dry-blending capacity of 20,000 MT of powder product per year.
Established fully-automated Tetrapak commissioned turn-key dry-blending facility with annual capacity of 30,000MT. Mahaan also set up Ingredient Craft in a strategic alliance with US dairy cooperative, Land O’Lakes.
Upgraded spray-drying facility to house high shear mixers and be fully automated (SCADA-operated). Site is infant nutrition approved and also does microencapsulation.
