1997 - Pioneered manufacturing of whey protein and caseinate

In the Kosi Kalan plant in Uttar Pradesh, India, Mahaan pioneered the manufacturing of whey proteins, milk calcium and calcium caseinate in India through microfiltration, membrane filtration, electrodialysis and ion exchange technologies.

Further, Mahaan was the first only manufacturer at the time to produce DC (Direct Compressible) Lactose in India.
